Privacy Policy

FacilitySecurityOfficers.org ("we", "us") provides resume feedback for experienced and highly qualified Facility Security Officers (FSOs). Monoc Securities LLC ("Monoc") is the operator of this service and the controller of the personal data described in this policy. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).

Information we collect

  • Contact details you provide: full name, email, phone, and optional company/affiliation.
  • Your resume: the file you upload or the text you paste, and the text extracted from it.
  • Job-targeting details if you request a job-targeted review: the target job description (uploaded or pasted), the hiring company's name, and — optionally — the company's website address and a link to the posting.
  • Purchase records if you buy a rewrite or cover letter (handled by Stripe; we never receive your full card number).
  • Limited technical data such as IP address, used for security and rate limiting.

How we use it

  • To analyze your resume and generate your feedback — and, when you provide a target job description and hiring company, to score how well your resume matches that role.
  • To produce a rewritten resume — and, if purchased, a tailored cover letter — and to deliver them.
  • Company-website research. If you provide the hiring company's website address, we retrieve and review content from that company's own public website (and only that site) to inform your score and any rewrite or cover letter you purchase. The extracted summary is cached, encrypted, for a limited period so repeat reviews of the same company are faster.
  • Employer research on paid rewrites. When generating a purchased rewrite, our AI provider may run web searches about the employers named in your resume (and the target company) so employer context — industry, scale, publicly known work — reads accurately. This research describes employers only; facts about you always come solely from your resume.
  • To contact you about your review and related services.
  • Role-placement services. Monoc provides Facility Security Officer placement services to cleared companies. We may retain your resume and contact information to consider you for FSO role-placement opportunities and to contact you when an opportunity may fit your background. We will not present your resume to a company without speaking with you first.
  • Market research. We use submissions internally to understand the qualifications, experience, and readiness of the Facility Security Officer candidate market. Insights we publish or share are aggregated and never identify you.
  • Email updates (with easy opt-out). We add submitters to our email list for information relevant to Facility Security Officers and the cleared companies they serve — regulatory developments, security-program resources, and Monoc activities such as the FOCI Leadership Forum, our community for the leaders of companies under Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) mitigation. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects your feedback or any purchase.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the service.

Sharing. Your resume and contact information are retained by Monoc for the purposes above. Your resume content — and any job description and company details you provide — is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate your feedback, score, and any purchased rewrite or cover letter. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your resume with third parties without your consent.

Service providers (processors)

We use a small number of service providers to operate the service. Each processes your data only on our behalf and only to provide its function:

  • Anthropic — AI analysis of your resume and generation of feedback and rewrites.
  • Stripe — payment processing for purchased rewrites.
  • Vercel — website hosting and file storage.
  • Neon — database hosting.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Upstash — rate limiting for security.

Security

Resume text and generated feedback are encrypted at rest at the application layer, in addition to our hosting providers' encryption. Access is limited, transport is HTTPS-only, and we avoid logging resume content. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Data retention

We retain your submission, resume, any job description and company details you provide, and contact information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above — including role-placement consideration and our email list — for up to approximately three years, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or a longer period is required to complete a purchase, comply with law, or resolve disputes. You can request deletion at any time, and unsubscribing from email is always one click away.

Your choices & data-deletion requests

Email opt-out. Use the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or write to us at the address below, and we will remove you from our email list.

You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time. Email paul.michaels@monoc.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and we will delete your submission, resume file, any job description you provided, and associated records. To protect your information, we will verify your request using the email address associated with your submission before acting on it. If we decline a request, you may appeal our decision by replying to our response, and we will review the appeal and respond with the result and our reasons.

Children

The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
